EDPM (ethylene propylene diene monomer (M-class) rubber):The main properties of EPDM are its outstanding heat, ozone, and weather resistance. The resistance to polar substances and steam are also good. It has excellent electrical insulating properties. It is commonly used as roofing membranes, because it does not pollute the run-off rainwater, which is of vital importance for rainwater harvesting.
PVC (Polyvinyl chloride):
This is a waterproofing membrane known for its dependability and resistance to water, chemicals, grease, fire and punctures.
Modified Bitumen (any of various natural substances, as asphalt, maltha, or gilsonite, consisting mainly of hydrocarbons):
For those who want a more durable, lower-maintenance roofing option, the modified bitumen roofing system is quickly becoming the most popular alternative for flat or low-sloping roofs. The modified bitumen roofing system was invented in Western Europe in response to a need for longer lasting roofs that were not prone to quickly drying out, as was the case with traditional asphalt shingles and sheeting rolls. This roofing system consists of layered bitumen membranes that are mixed with special polymers to give the roofing material properties akin to plastic or rubber.

Built-Up Roofing:
This method consists of multiple layers of materials to form a sturdy, reinforced roof. Starting with the deck surface and roof insulation, multiple layers of asphalt and ply sheets are sandwiched together with a reflective roof coating on the top.
